Travel Subsidies
We recognize that a lack of funding is one of the main barriers for small libraries to attend ABCPLD meetings and trainings in person. That’s why we offer a modest travel subsidy. To qualify, libraries must have an annual professional development budget of $5,000 or less.
Travel subsidies will be issued until the Association’s travel budget is exhausted:
Driving subsidy will be up to $150 depending on the number of applicants.
Air travel subsidy will be up to $300 depending on the number of applicants.
Eligible members must apply for the subsidy to the Executive Director by the date provided on application form. Applicants will be advised of the amount of the subsidy they will receive as soon as possible after the closing date.
Subsidy applications received after the deadline will be considered if funds remain following the initial round of approvals.
Members who car pool are entitled to a single travel subsidy per vehicle.
Receipts are not required, though members must show proof of air travel, preferably over email.
Subsidies will be paid to members at the meeting.
